June 28, 2011: The Lady, The Music, The Legend - on CD and DVD
Turns out Diahann's great one woman show The Lady, The Music, The Legend, recorded at the Annenberg Theater last year, is not exclusive to iTunes. There is both a CD and a DVD released! The CD and DVD is available exclusively from the website http://www.theladythemusicthelegend.com/. I ordered my CD and DVD a couple of weeks ago, paid using PayPal, and got the package a couple of days later, courtesy of Wonderstar Productions. What a treat to get this great show, not only on CD but on DVD as well. Highly recommended!
June 15, 2011: Goodbye diahann-carroll.info - welcome back, diahann-carroll.com A couple of years ago I was late with the renewal of the domain name, diahann-carroll.com. Someone else quickly "kidnapped" the domain and I had to use the alternative domain name, diahann-carroll.info. This year I finally got my original domain back, and I'm happy to announce that this site once again is to be known as diahann-carroll.com. The old domain will work for another few months, but please note that it will no longer be updated. The news page and the main page will automatically re-direct traffic to the new domain, please make sure that you're on the right site and please update your bookmarked pages.
Thanks for your continued support,
Michael

energy than many artists half her age she is still going strong with her

a Ten Minute Musical Moment:
Greetings,
Join me for a Ten Minute Musical Moment in celebration of the birthday
of actress and singer, Diahann Carroll, Saturday, July 17th at 9am (Pacific

And then continue the celebration with some champagne (or a non-alcoholic
cold drink for my fellow nondrinkers) while listening to one of her albums
or watching one of her movies. As long as the celebration is in style
- because that's one thing Ms. Carroll showed from the beginning, no matter
what or where she performed and no matter what crowd she entertained.
Style. Class. Grace.
Here's to a timeless lady - here's to Diahann!

Diahann Carroll has been forced to withdraw from the play On Golden Pond.
"An injury over the weekend aggravated a previous condition that
left the Tony Award-winning star with a herniated disk and severe muscle

expected to ultimately recover, her physicians insisted she immediately
limit her movements and return home to Los Angeles for treatment and rest,
making further rehearsals and upcoming performances impossible."
Jeffrey Finn said, "Everyone associated with On Golden Pond is heartbroken
that Diahann Carroll won't be able to join us in Washington. A driving
force of this production from the beginning, a consummate performer and
a dear, personal friend, her participation will be greatly missed."
We wish Ms Carroll a speedy recovery!
