Diahann
Carroll believes in giving and sharing. She has spent much time working to
make women more aware of breast cancer, something she have had first hand
experience of her self. She served as ambassador and national spokeswoman
for Lifetime Television's breast cancer awareness campaign in 1998-99. She

She has been awarded with the Black Woman of Achievment Award from
the NAACP's Defense and Education Fund in 1992, and in 1996 she was acknowledged
by the Project Inform for her outstanding contributions to the battle against
HIV and AIDS.
Diahann Carroll also does many benefit show performances for various good
causes. And she will bring her acclaimed one woman show to PBS as part of
their fund-raising program on the U.S public television stations, premiering
in August 2010. The live concert will be filmed in Palm Springs, CA on Wednesday
April 21st at the Annenberg Theater, to benefit the Annenberg Theater at The
Palm Springs Art Museum
