A movie about a crime, based on the novel The Seventh by Richard Stark. Like the promotion said, "They just stole a half million dollars in front of a hundred thousand witnesses... But watch what happens when it's time for The Split!" In this partly violent motion picture (it was the very first theatrical release to receive an R rating from the then-new MPAA's film rating system), Diahann plays the role of the ill-fated Ellie, girlfriend to the leader of the pack (Jim Brown). The music was written by Quincy Jones.
