Naked City (1962)
Diahann made an early guest appearance in this legendary TV series. The episode is called "A Horse Has a Big Head -- Let Him Worry!" and was first broadcasted on 11/21/62. Written by Abram S. Ginnes and directed by Denis Sanders, the episode is about a teacher of near-blind children (Diahann Carroll earned her first Emmy Award nomination for her portrayal of the teacher) who inspires one boy to find his own way home through New York City, trapping him in a nightmare.
